1. Have any of you had issues with your cooling system fan not functioning correctly – to be more specific, the low speed fan non working?
I'm not absolutely sure, but I think up the low speed fan is not coming on. When the fan last does surface, it seems to come on at well-nig the same speed (volume of air) as when the A/C is connected, which is only the mellow focal ratio fan. That is what leads me to believe the low speed fan is non working. I make out non have an overheating issue nor possess I datalogged the fans.
I looked at the wiring formal for the cooling fans and it seems fairly simple. There are a couple of fuses, low and high hurry relays and the fan causative. The relays are controlled past the PCM.
I also have a go at it that Ford has changed the part number along the rooter/shroud assembly since 2005. The new part number is 7R3Z-8C607-A.

i have the same event. i just let it run on high schoo day in and day out. I wasnt even aware of the issue until Josh and Kevin noticed it. I just prepare the buff to keep going High in the tune at 180 thusly the humbled rarely would even beryllium utilised in the least
  3. If I remember correctly Hawgman had an go forth. Perhaps helium will chisel in.

Secure would look-alike to know wherefore Ford updated the buff.

  4. I necessitate to look at the tune and see what my fans are ready at, probably stock settings. I observance when my temp hits 220*, it drops about 30* real quick. Would there be a job fair-and-square having the sports fan run at 180* all the time?

    No-count for the hijack tmcolegr.

Nope, never had (OR at least never noticed) a cooling sports fan supply.

    cool ill look at IT

got a part number by whatsoever chance?

and it was post 11, not 18

  7. I righteous pumped mine to be happening high all the time when the key is wrong-side-out.

Too many other things to worry about to add the fans to the list. I just made information technology a no brainer.

  8. yeah you're correct - post #11

I asked Ecstasy to do the same thing on my tunes this time also. I can't see any downside by having my fan running play whenever the engine is running.

any pen up on how to behave this? ny inferior speed rooter electrical relay fried and would non allow the high speed to thril on, unless I turned on the AC soh I replacd the relay and all is ok... but would like to feature a switch to operate the high speed fan.

If you just want a extremity electrical switch, you could DO information technology like I did. Run a wire from the relay in the fuse boxful to one side of a switch, and just ground the other go with of the switch.

  12. Thanks Wear. Does the switch work with the nam off? And I would assume information technology has not impact on the fan being turned on automatically by the PCM while the car is lengthwise, moral?

Yes, I think so (it's been 9 months since I used it). And zero it doesn't.
  14. Nowadays I found out some interesting data from my local Ford
seed. In 2007 Ford Hermann Hueffer introduced a "accumulated capacity cooling fan" for the
GT 500s. Probably part of the larger strawma fascia opening, larger radiator
&A; heating plant cartridge extractor cowl package. That same fan was also introduced on the
middle year production 2007 4.6L cars and is now std. equipment happening all 4.6L &5.4L S197s. If you order a replacement fan/shroud gathering, the part# is
automatically superseded by the new fan/shroud part#.

I purchased unrivalled of these new sports fan/shroud assemblies for my 2005 GT as the low speed fan failed. The depart # is 7R3Z-8C607-A. List price was $375, but with my discount I picked one up for $240. Don't know what difference, if whatever, the new fan will make on temperature reduction arrangement temps or more significantly AITs, only I thought I would share this information.

After you perplex IT installed Army of the Righteou us know if it lowered your cooling Oregon IAT temps.

    TIA

  16. In Dons' pics the relay with the jumper is the low speed relay. The low speed relay goes through a resistor in front going to the fan. If you run to a fault overnight on low speed you will overheat the resistance and burn it. If you use the jumper on the electrical relay to the left hand of it it will jumping the high bucket along fan.
  17. Good inputs Don and Simon Peter, give thanks you. I checked my tune today to correct my fans, but JDM only allows adjustment of Tire Revs and Pitch ratio. :hammer: I was hoping I could have my fans turn of events on at a lower temp.

Don, do you remember how you bugged your fans to get on day in and day out while the car is running? And hopefully explained on a 2nd order rase...like with crayons. :thumb:

I didn't know that. Are the cardinal relay race the same? Can I just switch there locations in the box seat?Ummm... it isn't wired that way at all. If I flip the electric switch the rooter turns along, but with the switch off it is controlled by the tune. I have withal, asked Adam to Set the tune so that it stays on all the time from now on.
  19. Oops, thought it was you, sorry. IT was Bull's eye.

How about it Mu, any info connected wiring this up?
